B07 Alcohol Tester Instructions

(These instructions are for the Type A Alcohol Breath Tester.)

2 "AAA" batteries are required for the use of this product.

Insert the batteries as diagrammed in the battery compartment.

Using the Alcohol Tester

2. To test your BAC*, continuing holding the POWER button while exhaling into the Exhale Pipe, which is located at the top of your unit when held upright. The lights that light up will indicate 3 different zones that you may be in:

- Green light: Safe--under 0.02% BAC (or 0.1mg/L)
- Yellow light: Caution--0.02% BAC (or 0.1mg/L) to 0.05% BAC (or 0.25mg/L)
- Red & Yellow lights: Danger--over 0.05% BAC (or 0.25mg/L)

*BAC stands for Blood Alcohol Concentration

NOTE: For a more accurate test, it is recommended that you test your BAC at least half an hour after drinking.

If the unit is left idle for a long time, the Red and Yellow lights will keep lighting during the alcohol test. If this is the case, it needs more time to warm up. Press the POWER button several times until the Green light stays lit.

B12 Alcohol Tester, dual display and B13 Alcohol Tester, single display

2 "AAA" batteries are required for the use of this product (not included) and one AG13 battery cell (included only for B12).

Insert the batteries as diagrammed in the battery compartment. You must remove the battery insulator in the battery compartment in order to active the clock battery cell.

Attach the lanyard using the hole located at the top of the back of the unit.

Using the Alcohol Tester

1. Press the POWER button once and the LCD will turn on and BEEP.

2. The "warm up" symbol is displayed and will countdown from 10 to 0. Wait until this is finished.

NOTE: If the first warm-up fails, the unit will restart automatically and attempt to warm up again. If this is the first time removing the unit from the package or if it has not been used for a while, you will most likely need to keep restarting the unit in the warm-up mode. This is necessary because the sensors may be contaminated by a collection of gases and impurities so it takes longer to clean and warm-up.

3. When the unit is finished warming-up, the LCD will say "Blow," indicating that it is ready to test.

4. Blow into the Breath Inhaler located at the top of the unit when held upright for 3-5 seconds.

5. Your test results will be displayed on the screen.

If it says:

- "Caution": your BAC is between 0.02% BAC (0.2g/L) and 0.05% BAC (0.5g/L)
- "Danger" and a beep: your BAC is equal to or over 0.05% BAC (0.5g/L)

If the unit is left on and idle for over 10 seconds, it will automatically power off.

NOTE: To get a more accurate result, it is recommended that you test more than once repeatedly.
