J21 - Multifunctional Digital Altimeter

Pull out the plastic tab from the battery cover.

Default Screen & the Different Modes
The default screen will be displayed, with time, temperature, weather, and a navigation bar for other modes.
Switch between modes by pressing the Mode button (one short press to move between each icon). The indicator/navigation bar across the screen will highlight the current mode (from left to right): Altimeter, Barometer, Temperature, Compass.

To Set the Time:
(From the default screen)
Press and hold the Mode Button until the time appears, with the hour unit blinking. Use the Set button to adjust the hour. Next, to set the minutes, press the Mode button once, the minutes unit will blink. Press the Set button to adjust the minutes.

To Set Feet or Meters in the Altimeter:
Press the Mode button once to go into Altimeter mode. When the display changes to show the current altitude, press and hold the Mode button to change from meters to feet, or from feet to meters. The units are identified by small abbreviations next to the reading. Press the Set button once to return to the default screen,

To Use the Barometer:
Press the Mode button twice (highlights the Barometer indicator). The weather forecast and atmospheric pressure are displayed. The atmospheric pressure is given in hPa (hectopascal) units, which are equivalent to one millibar. One atmostphere is equivalent to 1013 hPa (the air pressure at sea level). The Barometer can be manually set in the Advanced Setting mode (see below).

To Set Celsius or Fahrenheit:
Press the Mode button three times to highlight the Thermometer mode. When the temperature displays, press and hold the Mode button to change between Celsius and Fahrenheit.

To Use the Electronic Compass:
Press the Mode button four times to highlight the Compass mode. Hold the compass horizontally when using.



Advanced Settings in User Setting Mode

When the device is in the default screen, press and hold the Mode button once. The display will change to the Time Setting screen. From there, press the Mode button again to cycle through the screens for Time Setting, Barometer/Sea Level Pressure Setting, Weather Forecast Setting, Magnetic Declination Setting, Electronic Compass Calibration.

In any of these modes, you can adjust the settings by highlighting the desired unit with the Mode button (short presses) and then using the Set button to adjust it.

Other Information

The device will return to the default mode after 20 seconds without any buttons being pressed. 

To use the backlight: Press and hold the Set button until the light comes on. It will stay lit for 5 seconds, then go off to conserve battery power.
