Directions for all Laser Pointers:
Insert batteries in the right direction, so that the negative (flat) side of the battery is touching the spring inside the Laser Pointer tube. Press the button to use the Laser Pointer. Do not operate the laser pointer continuously for more than 5 minutes, for example, do not tape the button down to force the Laser Pointer to stay on. You will burn out the diode this way. With normal operation the diode is meant to last a long time.
Factors that can negatively affect the Laser Pointer's performance:
- Loose springs: a bad contact connection will prevent the laser from getting power from the batteries.
- Battery strength/weakness: Weak batteries will produce dimmer output.
- Extreme temperatures: batteries won't work correctly in very cold or very hot temperatures. In cold weather the laser pointer may appear dim until it warms up after approximately a minute.
Never point the laser at faces or eyes! HDE is not responsible for any damage caused by irresponsible laser pointer use.
Directions for Laser Projectors:
Plug the AC power cord into a wall outlet. Turn on the laser projector with the on/off switch on the projector unit. All settings for speed/flashing lights/etc can be adjusted with the knobs on the back of the unit. Please note, to extend the life of your projector, do not operate it continuously for longer than two hours at a time. Also, avoid frequently turning it on and off. Laser projectors are intended for indoor use only.
Laser Presentation Remotes:
Insert the battery into the Laser Pointer with the negative (flat) side of the battery touching the springs in the battery compartment. Next, plug the USB receiver into an available USB port. The drivers will install themselves and your computer should present a notification (near the clock) that a new device is detected. You can then begin to use your laser presentation remote with presentation applications.
