First, remove the battery cover on the bottom of the unit and insert two AA batteries, with the negative sides touching the springs. Replace cover.

To clean jewelry: Place a few drops of  mild liquid dish soap or glycerin soap into the tank and fill it with warm (not hot) water. Place the jewelry into the cleaner. Turn on the unit with the button on the back. Two to three minutes is recommended for cleaning jewelry. Allow jewelry to dry thoroughly after cleaning.
NOTE: These types of gems should NOT be cleaned ultrasonically: opals, pearls, turquoise, delicate items like filigree gold or antique jewelry, inlays, or cameos. Check with a jeweler if you are unsure about a specific item.

To clean dentures/retainers: Place the dental item into the cleaner with warm water and a Retainer Brite Cleaning Tablet. Turn on the unit and allow it to clean to for two to three minutes. Rinse your dental item and dry thoroughly. Follow any directions given to you by your dentist, orthodontist, etc. regarding the care of your dentures/retainers.
NOTE: Vinegar can be used (instead of tablets) to clean stubborn calcium deposits.

How does it work? Below the cleaning tank is a transducer which produces soundwaves above human hearing range. The waves cause microscopic vacuum bubbles to form in the water in the tank in a process called cavitation. When the bubbles come in contact with an item, they burst and push dirt out of even tiniest crevices.
